MSI has officially rolled out its latest gaming desktop, the MAG Codex Z2 A5NVM (A05), via Costco, pairing the newest Ryzen processors with the RTX 50 series graphics cards. This machine is the successor to the MAG Codex R2 A14NVL (I04), a model that saw strong sales at Costco last year thanks to its performance and value. MSI stated that it has upgraded the core components to the latest specifications to enhance overall performance.

The new MAG Codex Z2 A5NVM is designed for modern computing environments. It features the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, which offers improved performance over its predecessor, paired with a Pro B850M-P motherboard. This ensures smooth multitasking for high-end gaming, video editing, and one-PC streaming setups. Graphics are handled by Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Ventus 2X OC Plus, providing enhanced rendering speeds and ray-tracing performance.

To minimize data bottlenecks, the system utilizes 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. This memory provides wider bandwidth than previous DDR4 systems, ensuring frame rate stability in demanding games. Additionally, the inclusion of a 1TB SPATIUM M450 V1 NVMe SSD with PCIe Gen4 technology reduces loading times for modern games and improves overall system responsiveness. The 1TB capacity provides sufficient storage for the growing size of modern game files.

System stability is ensured through optimized cooling and reliable power delivery. To effectively manage heat during high-performance gaming, the system uses the MAG Forge 120A Airflow case, which comes with six pre-installed fans. The full mesh front panel facilitates optimal airflow, while the auto-speed control for the fans balances noise reduction and cooling efficiency. The power supply is the 80 Plus Bronze certified MAG A650BNL, which stably provides the peak power required by the RTX 50 series graphics card.

Windows 11 Home comes pre-installed, allowing users to dive straight into their gaming environment without the need for complex driver or OS setup. The product is available at Costco locations nationwide, with some exceptions. MSI expects this new model to set a new standard for premium gaming desktops through the powerful synergy of the RTX 50 series and the 9000-series Ryzen processors.
