Supercell is rolling out a rather unexpected crossover in Brawl Stars, teaming up with language-learning app Duolingo.

Look, let's be honest, seeing Brawl Stars' Spike and Duolingo's mascot Duo swap universes is quite something. From September 19 to 30, Duo will pop up in the Brawl Stars Starr Park, while Spike will make an appearance in Duolingo lessons, bringing fresh events and limited-time rewards to both apps.

Over in Brawl Stars, Duo is stepping up as a brand-new boss. The developer has set up a massive twenty-versus-one boss battle where twenty players team up to take down Duo. Set against the backdrop of Duo's classroom, the boss grows increasingly powerful as the fight goes on, throwing in trivia quizzes to boot. Get the answer right and walk away with rewards; get it wrong, and the developer ensures you take damage or get booted straight out of the fight.

There is also a daily community-wide task event. Players can complete daily lessons in Duo's classroom and pass the final exam held on the last day of the event to bag some collaboration rewards.

Meanwhile, Duolingo is hosting a limited-time streak quest featuring Spike. The developer notes that players can progress through quests by completing daily Duolingo lessons, keeping their learning streaks alive while picking up rewards along the way. Finish the challenge, and you can unlock Spike in Brawl Stars.

Brawl Stars Korea and Duolingo Korea have already dropped various videos on YouTube and TikTok showcasing the fierce rivalry between Duo and Spike. Choi Byeong-jun, the marketing lead for Brawl Stars in South Korea, stated in what the publisher calls a special crossover, "This collaboration lets the iconic characters of Brawl Stars and Duolingo step into each other's worlds for a fresh spin on both services. The director hopes players will enjoy the cross-platform fun through these events featuring Duo and Spike."
