Following the announcement of a reduction in development team size on the 10th, the League of Legends-based fighter 2XKO has unveiled new champions 'Senna' and 'Akali' alongside its future development roadmap.

Shaun Rivera, Director of 2XKO, took to the official website on the 14th to share the game's future update plans and fresh roster additions. First up, the assassin Akali and the Sentinel of Light, Senna, will be joining the ranks.

True to her League of Legends roots, Akali wields dual kama blades, complete with a smoke screen and a swift dash to slip behind her foes. Senna, meanwhile, masters the duality of light and shadow. She toggles between a 'Light Mode'—wielding her Relic Cannon—and a 'Shadow Mode,' where she transforms into a wraith to unleash rapid close-quarters strikes. Further details on these two characters will be revealed at a later date.

Beyond new characters, the team is prototyping a 'Local Duo' mode to boost the accessibility of cooperative play, aiming to build an environment where two players can compete in the same physical space. They are also piloting a support program for local tournament organizers, offering exclusive rewards that cannot be obtained elsewhere to help smaller grassroots events flourish.

Furthermore, they have promised balance tweaks designed to keep the game's blistering pace and high skill ceiling intact while sharpening the identity of each champion. They are keeping a close watch on the ranked matchmaking system and are considering adjustments that might expose some vulnerabilities in Yasuo and Ekko.
