Stove has announced the global launch of Windrose, a new open-world survival adventure title, on the 17th. Developed by the Windrose Crew, the game blends naval combat, exploration, and building mechanics, already racking up over 1.5 million pre-registrations, drawing significant attention from players.

Windrose drops you into a fictionalized history set across a vast ocean. As a pirate captain, your job is to scour uncharted islands, hoard resources, and establish a foothold. Of course, the real draw here is commanding a fleet and engaging in ship-to-ship skirmishes.

The game boasts a seamless environment that lets you hop between land and sea. You can choose to blast foes with cannons or board enemy ships for melee combat. With three distinct ship classes—Ketch, Brig, and Brigantine—you have plenty of room to tinker with customizations and lead your crew. You also have an arsenal of sabres, rapiers, halberds, and muskets at your disposal for action-packed combat.

Exploration and construction are core elements of the experience. You will forage across diverse ecosystems to build everything from a humble shelter to a sprawling fortress. There are over 100 hand-crafted dungeons to delve into, and you can even recruit NPCs to help develop your settlement.
