Smilegate has updated its MMORPG Lost Ark with a new Abyss Dungeon, 'Cathedral of the Horizon.' The Cathedral of the Horizon is a space that symbolizes the authority and faith of the Sacred Empire of Sacria, which is the main setting for the new episode 'Kadharum Archipelago' revealed on the 11th.

Adventurers will battle the 'Archbishop of Twilight Arcenos' at the top of the cathedral's belfry and experience an Abyss Dungeon enhanced with cinematic sequences. The dungeon consists of two gates and can be challenged by a party of up to four players. The boss, Arcenos, uses a giant bell as a weapon, featuring combat patterns based on 'sound waves' and 'tuning forks.'

Instead of the traditional 'Normal' or 'Hard' modes, the difficulty is divided into three tiers based on the entry item level. Additionally, players can resurrect without limits even if they die during combat. To enter the Cathedral of the Horizon, players must complete the Kadharum Archipelago main quest 'Day of Proof,' and the entry item levels are 1,700 for Tier 1, 1,720 for Tier 2, and 1,750 for Tier 3.

Adventurers who complete the Cathedral of the Horizon will receive bound Gold, 'Fragment of Grace' as exchange currency, and 'Ark Grid Core' for developing the 'Ark Grid' growth system. Using Fragments of Grace, players can craft various items such as 'Ancient Core Selection Chests' and 'Relic Core Selection Chests' at the Abyss Dungeon Workshop. Along with this, new tiers have been added to in-game combat content such as Chaos Rifts and Guardian Raids for adventurers who have reached item level 1,750, allowing players at that level to earn rewards.
