Global game publisher FunPlus announced on the 28th that it has officially launched its SF strategy RPG, 'Foundation: Galactic Frontier,' developed in collaboration with Paramount. The game is available as a cross-platform title, playable on mobile and PC via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Mac.

'Foundation: Galactic Frontier' is based on the novel 'Foundation' by Isaac Asimov, which laid the foundation for Western science fiction. Players take on the role of an enigmatic space trader, encountering key characters from the original work such as 'Hari Seldon' and the 'Mule,' and experiencing a vast narrative that significantly impacts galactic history. The game features a 'mobile space base system' where the spaceship itself serves as the hub, moving away from traditional fixed coordinate systems. Users are encouraged to freely navigate dozens of star systems, explore unknown territories, discover new planets, and pioneer trade routes.

The game offers deep gameplay through various simulation elements such as crew recruitment, technology research, and facility construction. Additionally, players can form guilds with hundreds of members to participate in large-scale wars over interstellar hegemony. The combat system adopts a dual-system approach, consisting of space battles between ships and 'champion squad ground shooting battles' that take place on planetary surfaces.

To realize the SF space atmosphere, the developers recruited renowned talent. Andreas Waldetoft, the composer of the 'Stellaris' series, co-produced the sound and background music to enhance immersion. Furthermore, famous designers from 'Star Atlas,' Gary Sanchez and Gan Naran, were in charge of warship design, completing the retro yet sophisticated interior details.

FunPlus is offering events to commemorate the official launch. All new users who complete the tutorial and unlock the mail function will receive resources necessary for early growth, including 10 Action Potions, 10,000 Metal, 10,000 Water, and 4,000 Galaxy Coins. Additionally, on the second day of login, players will receive the Legendary-tier Korean female operative champion, 'Bae Ju-ri,' for free.
