IMI, the operator of the domestic game item trading platform Itemmania, conducted a public art social contribution project titled 'Art Underfoot' in Duhyeon Village, Jeonju, on the 26th. This initiative was launched to help resolve local living environment complaints.

The project was planned to address aesthetic, noise, and vibration issues caused by aging storm drain manhole covers at the entrance of Duhyeon Village in Manseong-dong, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju. The area had been subject to long-standing resident complaints, and IMI contributed to resolving these local issues by reimagining the manhole covers as design elements and providing financial support.

On the day, IMI employees painted nine manhole covers based on designs by visual artist Jin Chang-yun. Each manhole features a design reflecting local characteristics and public art elements, adding vibrancy to the streetscape. Additionally, participants joined local residents in planting flowers and tidying up the entrance area. Representatives from public institutions, including Jeonju Cultural Foundation CEO Choi Rak-gi, artist Jin Chang-yun, and Jeonju City Council member Shin Yu-jeong, also participated, strengthening the foundation for local community cooperation.

An IMI representative stated, "This project was designed to resolve the long-standing inconveniences of local residents and add positive changes to their daily spaces." They added, "We will continue to pursue various social contribution activities that can contribute to solving local community issues."

Meanwhile, IMI has been recognized for the performance and sustainability of its social contribution activities, receiving a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare under the 'Local Community Contribution Recognition System' and being selected as a recognized enterprise for six consecutive years. The company consistently carries out various activities, including living environment improvements and cultural and public projects, centered in the Jeonju region.
