KeSPA announced on the 6th that Disney+ will serve as the official broadcaster for the 2026 Asian Esports Games, held from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium in Jinju, Gyeongnam. Disney+ previously participated in the 2025 LoL KeSPA Cup.

The 2026 Asian Esports Games evolved from the 2021 Korea-China-Japan Esports Games, expanding into an Asian-wide international tournament last year. It serves as a vital curtain-raiser ahead of the upcoming Asian Games. Seven nations, including South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Mongolia, are participating with their largest-ever delegations of national athletes. The six official titles include PUBG Mobile, Eternal Return, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, The King of Fighters 15, and the eFootball series, with Steppin selected as a demonstration event.

Disney+ will exclusively broadcast four titles globally: the fighting games Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, The King of Fighters 15, and the eFootball series. Furthermore, it will participate as the official broadcaster for the remaining events, ensuring every match of the tournament reaches fans both at home and abroad. The partnership between the two entities is expected to expand; major events hosted and managed by KeSPA, such as the 2026 LoL KeSPA Cup and the Asian Games national team evaluation matches, are also slated for global live broadcast via Disney+.

KeSPA Chairman Kim Young-man remarked, "The Asian Esports Games have become more than just a friendly; they are a premier stage where national representatives test their mettle and sharpen their competitive edge ahead of major international events like the Asian Games." He added, "At a time when the value of Korean esports content is soaring, I am delighted to share these achievements with global fans through our expanded strategic collaboration with Disney+."

Meanwhile, South Korea is sending a national delegation to compete in every event of the 2026 Asian Esports Games. Representatives for the four fighting game and eFootball titles will be determined through separate qualifying rounds. Having secured medals in every event they contested at the Hangzhou Asian Games, South Korea is also preparing to dispatch a national team to the 9 individual sub-events at the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
