NC officially announced that on April 7, they filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul against the operator of the YouTube channel 'Youngraegi', alleging the spread of false information and obstruction of business.

In a video uploaded on February 22, YouTuber 'Youngraegi' claimed that Lineage Classic was turning a blind eye to users of illegal software while unfairly sanctioning those who reported such activities. He further alleged that legitimate players who submitted reports were hit with bans and even isolated from accessing the game entirely.

NC has dismissed these claims as categorically false, citing internal data analysis and reviews by both internal and external experts. The company stated that such baseless accusations have tarnished the credibility of their service and operations. Furthermore, NC claims this misinformation has severely hampered the integrity of their 'Illegal Program Reporting System,' discouraging community participation and disrupting the overall operational workflow.

NC insists they remain committed to fostering a stable and fair environment for Lineage Classic. Since launch, they have been running campaigns to root out abnormal gameplay. According to their figures, they have taken action against 5,971,757 accounts across 105 separate waves of enforcement in accordance with their operational policies.

While NC claims to value player feedback for their development process, they are drawing a hard line against the spread of misinformation, malicious slander, and abuse. To protect their IP, employees, and community, they intend to take vigorous legal action. They are also working with legal experts to address content that uses provocative, misleading titles and thumbnails to bait viewers. This follows a similar legal suit filed last December against an internet broadcaster for spreading false information regarding 'Aion 2'.
