Marvel Rivals, the Marvel-themed PVP shooter, kicks off its eighth season, 'Sins of Alchemax', on May 15. The new season introduces the new hero Devil Dinosaur as a Vanguard (tank) and unveils a new Doom Match map, 'Alchemax Headquarters'. Additionally, the prize pool and operational roadmap for 'Ignite', the game's global esports program, have been announced.

The newly added hero, Devil Dinosaur, is a dinosaur superhero from the Marvel animated series 'Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur'. As a Vanguard, this hero specializes in frontline combat, utilizing high physical stats and defensive capabilities. Devil Dinosaur can inflict a persistent bleed effect on enemies during attacks, and upon using its ultimate, it transforms into a ruthless monster capable of trampling foes.

Season 8 will receive an additional update on May 28. This update introduces the new Doom Match map, 'Alchemax Headquarters', where players can enjoy new content involving the rescue of 'Cyclops' and 'Moon Girl'. Throughout Season 8, new accessories for popular heroes such as Devil Dinosaur, The Thing, Black Widow, and Hela will be released. Furthermore, PC client optimization has been applied, allowing for approximately 35GB of storage space savings through HD texture adjustments.

The global esports program 'Ignite' has set a total prize pool of $650,000 for Stage 1, which will be distributed among all participating teams based on their performance. The group stage will take place from May 21 to June 7, followed by the playoffs from June 25 to July 5. 'New York: Lower Manhattan' has been adopted as a new map for this tournament, offering fresh tactical and competitive elements. Ignite matches can be watched live via YouTube.
