ARC Raiders is shifting its development gears, extending its update cycle to a six-month rhythm. Considering they were pushing out fresh content monthly, this is a significant deceleration in pace.

The news broke on the 13th via the official ARC Raiders website. The dev team candidly noted, "We planned for monthly updates to keep players engaged, but we realised the pressure was impacting the quality of the game." They added, "Moving forward, we will launch two larger, more impactful updates annually." While major content drops are now biannual, rest assured that balance tweaks, bug fixes, and events will continue on their usual weekly schedule.

ARC Raiders initially saw a massive wave of interest, peaking at 480,000 concurrent players on Steam. However, that momentum has waned recently. With this shift in update frequency, some analysts are concerned it might just accelerate the current decline.

On a brighter note, the largest update in the game's history, 'Frozen Trail', is slated for October. It promises a new map, fresh ARC operations, and a massive expansion of the game's core systems, including character progression, skill trees, and an expanded arsenal of weapons.
