The 2026 Indiecraft Organizing Committee held its official launch ceremony at 10 AM on May 19th at the Hanbit-Irum meeting room on the 7th floor of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency. The event is hosted by Seongnam City and co-organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Mobile Game Association.

A total of 11 industry experts have been appointed to this year's organizing committee. Representing the new cohort, Highbrow CEO Won Se-yeon accepted the appointment certificate. These committee members will provide operational guidance, foster inter-agency cooperation, and offer support for the event.

During the business briefing that followed the launch, organizers unveiled the core support programs for this year. They are planning to host an export consultation session, bringing together key domestic and international investors and publishers for one-on-one business meetings with selected developers.

The grand prize for the top developer has been set at 40 million KRW, doubling the amount from the previous year. Developers are free to use these funds for development, marketing, or operations. Furthermore, an offline exhibition linked with GXG will serve as a venue for user FGT (Focus Group Test) evaluations.

Lee Deok-hee, Head of the Strategic Industry Division at the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, stated, "We will work closely with the newly launched committee to provide unwavering support to indie game studios. I trust that the expertise and networks of our members will be the catalyst that propels Indiecraft into a truly global festival."

Hwang Sung-ik, Chairman of the Korea Mobile Game Association and co-chair of the organizing committee, added, "We are committed to backing the growth of small and medium-sized indie developers across the country by providing full support for the committee's activities."

Indiecraft is slated to announce its final selections by late May, identifying the Top 50 teams for the domestic category and the Top 20 for the challenger category. Following this, they will roll out a series of networking days and commercialization support programs tied to their sponsors.
