On the 22nd, Nexon announced the addition of single-player modes for the 'Black Mage' and 'Chosen Seren' in MapleStory M. This update provides a new challenge for players who wish to take on bosses solo. The minimum level requirements for entry remain the same as the existing multiplayer modes: level 250 for the 'Black Mage' and level 260 for the 'Chosen Seren'. Successful completion provides the same rewards as the multiplayer mode, with the 'Black Mage' single mode also offering commemorative achievements.

Additionally, a new 'Prayer' system has been introduced, allowing players to enhance stats using 'Stigmata' earned from boss encounters. The 'Prayer' system operates by consuming 'Stigmata Crystals' to reset passive 'Blessing' effects. As experience is accumulated through prayer, the level increases, which unlocks 'Blessing' slots or raises the maximum grade of the 'Blessings' that appear. 'Stigmata Crystals' can be obtained by defeating bosses or dismantling Stigmata.

Furthermore, the second phase of the 'M4U' main event, 'Boss Invitations', will run until June 17th. Following the first phase, new bosses have appeared, providing various items such as EXP and 'M4U Coins' according to a set schedule. In the 'Find the Black Mage' event, characters level 250 or higher can obtain up to five 'Black Bundles' per day through auto-battle. Summoning and defeating monsters from these bundles grants 'Sol Erda Energy' and 'Sol Erda Fragments'. Achieving milestones provides additional rewards including 'M4U Coins', 'Sol Erda', and 'Black Rebirth Flames'.

Various other boss-themed events are also being held, such as 'Dodging Damien's Mark', 'Rescue the Lucky Box from the Spiderweb!', 'Invitation to the Deepest Dream', and 'Lotus & Orca's Daily Mission'. The second phase of the 'M4U Coin Shop' will remain open until June 21st. Players can exchange 'M4U Coins' earned from events for various items in the dedicated shop. In this second phase, purchase limits for items from the first phase have been reset, and items such as 'Authentic Symbol: Cernium' and 'Hyper Stat Enhancement Meso Mileage Cards' are now available for purchase.
