Riot Games finally pulled back the curtain on the 173rd champion to join the League of Legends roster, 'Roke', on the 10th.

Roke is an ashen exorcist on a mission to save his best mate, Vayne, who has been corrupted by a demon. He is a magic-damage dealing assassin designed for the mid lane, tasked with marking foes with iron nails and sealing them away within ancient relics.

With high mobility and a penchant for dealing massive area-of-effect damage, Roke is built to dominate early-game skirmishes. His passive, 'Silver Stake', deals bonus magic damage based on the enemy's missing health on basic attacks. When combined with his 'Ritual Nail (Q)', it pierces through enemies, slowing them and ramping up the damage output significantly. His 'Soul Ignition (W)' allows him to burn health to boost movement speed, while also regenerating a portion of that missing health—a solid choice for turret dives or mid-lane scraps.

The dash ability, 'Ashen Pursuit (E)', deals magic damage to anyone in its path, serving as both a gap-closer and an escape tool. His ultimate, 'Purgatory', involves throwing a relic to slow and damage enemies in an area. Once an enemy's health drops below a certain threshold, they get dragged into the relic and instantly eliminated, which should make for some game-changing moments in team fights.

Edward Zhao, Senior Game Product Manager, remarked, "We crafted Roke for players who crave flashy action and a blistering pace." He added, "Given how much the Korean player base loves assassin champions, we hope you find him as thrilling to play as we do."
