The city of Ansan is opening its doors for the 2026 Ansan eSports Industry Academy, looking for the next batch of hopefuls.

It’s not just theory; you’ll be building a portfolio through hands-on practice, from drafting tournament blueprints to managing events yourselves. You will get a cheeky look behind the curtain with visits to the Nongshim RedForce and BNK FearX headquarters, plus site tours of the KeSPA and Sangam SOOP Colosseum eSports arenas to chat with industry veterans. They are also hosting a JOB Talk show featuring representatives from clubs, publishers, and agencies to help you break into the business. For the top three students, the Mayor of Ansan is personally awarding a certificate of merit.

The programme runs from July 4 to August 29, spanning 12 sessions in a hybrid format. They are scouting for 40 participants, specifically targeting youth aged 16 to 39 or current high school students. Since this is fully funded by the city, 75% of the intake is reserved for Ansan residents or students attending local schools.

Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun remarked, "eSports is a future industry where the adventurous spirit of our youth meets innovative technology," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so our local youth can blossom into the industry leaders of tomorrow."
