HoYoverse announced on the 26th that Honkai Impact 3rd has officially rolled out its 8.9 version update, 'Feathers Descending for Salvation'. This update introduces a new S-rank battlesuit, alongside a series of themed events and a new chapter in the main story.

The new S-rank battlesuit for Seele, 'Feathers of Healing', is a Stardust-type character that deals lightning elemental damage. Holding the attack button triggers the branch attack 'Pleasure', which summons a magic circle to strike enemies, and landing the fourth basic attack grants the 'Feather’s Embrace' state. While her ultimate is active, she gains invulnerability and triggers a time-stop field effect.

The new themed event, 'Extreme Speed: Delivery Rider', is also live. This event features side-scrolling combat where players control the character to clear stages. Participants can earn rewards such as the 'Feathers of Healing Wish Medal', Crystals, Source Prisms, and the 'Absolute Contract' costume for 'Fenghuang of Vicissitude'.

Additionally, the main story Chapter 2, Act 13, 'Courtesy of a Single Rose', has been released. This chapter explores the history of the Fall and Senadina’s past, focusing on a wager between New Senadina and a woman claiming to be the Purusha Vita. The upcoming 9.0 update will feature the final act of the main story's second part.
