The Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (the Agency) is set to launch a Generative AI Developer Transition Bootcamp at the Jeonnam ICT Innovation Square, starting from August 5.

The programme aims to sharpen generative AI development skills and assist current or former developers—as well as those handling internal IT duties—in making a career pivot.

Running from August 5 to September 10, the 80-hour curriculum takes place via live online sessions, Monday to Thursday, from 7 PM to 11 PM. Priority in selection is given to local residents or those with ties to the region (employment, enrollment, or alumni status) among current or former developers and IT staff.

The coursework covers chatbot and dashboard development, RAG system and intelligent agent design, open-source model construction and lightweight fine-tuning, and a practical business problem-solving competition.

The Agency focuses on core, hands-on techniques, helping participants build the AI service development capabilities they need in real-world settings. By covering RAG-based design, intelligent agents, and open-source models, the curriculum mirrors the latest trends in the industry to ensure practical application.

The course is entirely free of charge. Those who meet the completion requirements will receive a certificate, gift icons, and eligibility for follow-up programmes like ICT Innovation Square competitions and expert lectures. During the course, access to paid Gemini API keys and accounts will also be provided.

Applications are open until July 29 via the official Jeonnam ICT Innovation Square website. The class size is limited to around 20 participants, filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Director Lee In-yong of the Agency remarked, "This programme is designed as a practical, hands-on course to help apply generative AI technology to actual development and business problem-solving."
