The fourth week of the VCT Pacific Stage 2 kicks off this coming 7th. As we hit the final stretch of the group stage, teams are locked in a desperate scramble to secure a direct ticket to the playoffs.

In the Alpha group, Gen.G (GEN) has already cruised through an undefeated streak, cementing their spot in the playoffs. The battle for the remaining slot has become a three-way standoff between Global Esports (GE), ZETA DIVISION (ZETA), and Nongshim RedForce (NS). When Global Esports and ZETA DIVISION clash on the 8th, the victor moves one step closer to a direct seed, while the loser faces a grim demotion to the play-ins. Should Nongshim RedForce manage to topple Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), the team will secure second place and a direct ticket.

Gen.G, boasting an impressive 4-0 record, is set to face Full Sense (FS). After the frustration of an early exit during the Stage 1 group stage, Gen.G is now aiming to finish the group stage with a perfect, clean sweep.

The Omega group is currently a tangled mess involving Paper Rex (PRX), Talon Esports (TLN), T1, and DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM). Paper Rex and Talon Esports, both sitting at 3-1, will face off on the 9th to decide who takes the top spot. Should a team fall in that match, they drop to 3-2, potentially opening the door for T1 and DetonatioN FocusMe—both currently at 2-2—to join the fight for second place, provided they best DRX (DRX) and Team Secret (TS) respectively.

Under the current tie-breaker rules, DetonatioN FocusMe holds the advantage, having already bested both Talon Esports and T1 in previous head-to-head encounters. T1 remains in a precarious position, needing to defeat DRX and then hope for favorable results from other matches to stay alive.
