Nexon announced on August 13 that it has added a new system called 'Journey's Treasure' to MapleStory Idle. This update brings a fresh layer of idle-hunting synergy, a slew of quality-of-life adjustments, and a fresh batch of artifacts.

First off, the 'Journey's Treasure' ties directly into your idle-grinding routine. Players earn experience points for this system by taking down monsters while idling, with the accumulation rate ramping up in higher chapters. Once the experience bar hits 100%, players can pick one card from a pool of 'Star Force Enhancement Scrolls, Miracle Cubes, Mesos, and Spell Traces.' The three unpicked cards get a boost for the next round, ensuring you walk away with even better loot.

The developer has also rolled out significant quality-of-life improvements. Some classes have received buffs as part of an overall balance pass. Furthermore, the incoming damage from monsters in key combat modes like Party Quests, Boss Raids, and Growth Dungeons has been dialled back, making life a bit easier for everyone. Equipment rewards from Party Quests now come with an increased number of additional options.

As part of the convenience push, the 'Exploration Team'—which handles auto-progress for Party Quests—now features an auto-matchmaking function. A 'sweep all' button has also been added to clear all five Growth Dungeons at once. On top of that, the team has polished preset usability, improved combat screen visibility, beefed up membership perks, and added a filter for equipment bonus options.

Finally, three new Legendary artifacts have arrived. 'Reindeer’s Spear' boosts attack and defense penetration by 5% each; that penetration bonus doubles against a single target and triples when taking down a boss. The 'Secret Map' increases attack by 5% and adds 5% final damage when facing ten or more enemies, with that final damage bonus tripling during Growth Dungeon encounters.

The 'Ring of Circulation' artifact refreshes its effect every 5 seconds to check the character's critical hit rate. If it's below 100%, the artifact grants a 30% crit rate buff. If it hits 100% or more, it provides a 40% skill damage boost and ramps up basic attack damage by up to 60%.
