The latest entry in the Rusty Lake series, Servant of the Lake, officially launched on August 13. The title is currently gaining steady momentum, sitting at 11th place on the Steam global top sellers chart.

Servant of the Lake is a point-and-click adventure where you step into the shoes of a servant hired by the Vanderboom family for a three-day stint. You will serve brothers Aldous and William, along with Alexandra, by tackling chores like cleaning, greeting guests, and assisting with alchemical experiments, all while solving puzzles and unearthing the family's dark secrets. This prequel, set 10 years before the events of Rusty Lake: Roots, delves into the origins of the alchemy and the elixir of immortality that eventually brought the family to ruin.

Gameplay focuses on interacting with the manor's inhabitants from the servant's perspective. For the first time in the series, the developers have utilised the Unity engine, allowing for more sophisticated puzzle mechanics and mini-games. Furthermore, with 49 achievements to hunt, there is plenty of incentive for multiple playthroughs and uncovering hidden lore.
