The remastered version of The War of Genesis Gaiden: Rhapsody of Zephyr (hereafter Rhapsody of Zephyr) has landed on Steam and NCSOFT's PURPLE. PURPLE is also offering a limited edition physical bundle for the release.

Released back in 1998, Rhapsody of Zephyr serves as the third entry in The War of Genesis series and its very first spin-off. Upon launch, the title earned high praise for its polished graphics, memorable soundtrack, and deeply engaging story. Players dive into a sweeping epic of love, betrayal, war, and destiny centered around the vengeful quest of Cyrano Bernstein, who suffers through a lengthy imprisonment after being falsely accused.

The newly minted remaster supports HD resolution alongside 16:9 widescreen displays. Full voice acting has been woven into main story events, powered by professional voice talent. Modern quality-of-life features are also part of the package, including a completely overhauled UI, a minimap, battle speed adjustments, encounter toggles, and boost functions that multiply experience points and currency gains by up to four times. Original series creator Choi Yeon-gyu and former Softmax CTO Cho Young-ki participated in the production to ensure the project stays true to its roots while raising the overall polish.

Over on PURPLE, a limited edition physical box set is available carrying a price tag of 79,000 KRW. The bundle packs the base game, a digital soundtrack, seven physical items, and exclusive PURPLE digital goodies. Inside the physical collection, buyers will find an autographed board by the original creator, a media case, a 3-CD soundtrack, 15 photo cards featuring major characters, and a Journey Book packed with lore, strategy guides, and original concept art drawn from the original manual alongside commentary from the remaster development team.

The standard edition retails for 44,000 KRW, while the deluxe edition, which throws in the digital soundtrack and other goodies, costs 54,900 KRW on Steam and 55,000 KRW on PURPLE. The PURPLE deluxe edition includes exclusive digital items.
