A new four-player cooperative escape title based on the hit mascot horror series Poppy Playtime is launching on October 22.

Mob Entertainment announced the release schedule for Project: Playtime during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct on September 21. It will launch in Early Access on Steam on October 22, preceded by an open beta starting on October 1. Applications for the open beta are currently open via the official page.

This title is a cooperative escape game set in the world of Poppy Playtime. Supporting solo play up to four players, it features proximity voice chat. Players step into the shoes of the Smiling Critters, the plush lineup featured in Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3, and must follow instructions from a mysterious voice to gather the materials needed to escape the factory.

Along the way, players must watch out for failed experiments roaming the factory. Survival requires utilizing everything at hand, and shaking off enemies using multiple routes is also possible. The factory layout changes randomly, and a mini-mode that lets players examine every nook and cranny is also provided.

Project: Playtime launches on Steam on October 22 with Korean subtitle support. Alongside the Early Access launch, eight characters, the first floor of the starting area, and a core enemy lineup will be available. New areas, enemies, and content will be added subsequently based on user feedback.
