Smilegate announced on August 22 that the rogue-lite action game Neon Abyss 2, developed by Veewo Games, will officially launch on October 8. The PC version will be available via Stove and Steam, with console versions for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch releasing simultaneously on the same day.

The official release date for Neon Abyss 2 was revealed alongside a new trailer during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct at Tokyo Game Show 2026. Following its initial debut in early access in 2025, the developer has rolled out major updates based on player feedback, including Deadly Carnival and Shadow Stealer.

Set in an Abyss world where pixel-art cyberpunk and mythology coexist, the game treats players to a vengeful journey wielding blades against both old and new gods alongside a loyal companion, Hatchmon. Throughout the early access period, the content expanded steadily with new bosses, weapons, affixes, agents, and play modes.

In the official version, a new final boss, Theia, the goddess of vanity, will make an appearance. Known as one of the primordial Titans and the mother of Helios, Selene, and Eos, Theia sports a formidable look blended with shattered mirrors, sharp jewels, and a brilliant neon aura, promising a tense challenge across a three-phase battle that disrupts the senses with every flash and burst.

As a co-publishing partner in South Korea for this official release, Smilegate plans to expand its touchpoints with domestic users by continuously supporting marketing activities and localization quality improvements.
