SOOP is set to host the eSports tournament '2026 Cyber Jeong-gijeon', featuring students from Yonsei University and Korea University, on February 28 at 2 PM at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum. Co-hosted with Gen.G Global Academy, the tournament features three total titles including Overwatch, Valorant, and League of Legends, where students from both institutions will compete to prove their skills.

This Cyber Jeong-gijeon is hosted by the Yonsei University eSports club Yon-gam and the Korea University gaming club Deluxe, organized by Gen.G Global Academy, with SOOP handling the broadcast production. Planned as a collegiate friendly competition, the event is scheduled to kick off with the Overwatch match at 2 PM, followed by Valorant at 4 PM, and League of Legends (LoL) at 6 PM. Students selected for each title will step up to represent their respective schools in the matches.

The tournament is structured so that students go beyond simply playing in the matches, directly participating in broadcast production and event operations as well. SOOP is supporting professional personnel and broadcasting systems, while students from both schools plan to join the event's operation across various fields such as MCs, writers, interviewers, and commentators. This is expected to provide students with an opportunity to experience the overall process of the eSports industry and get a closer look at the field.

Attendance is open to current students of both schools, with various on-site events prepared at the venue. In addition, the tournament is scheduled to be broadcast live online through SOOP. SOOP plans to present prizes through a lucky draw among participants who verify their viewing of the Cyber Jeong-gijeon after signing up for a new membership, and will also run a drops event during the broadcast where viewers can win cultural gift certificates.
