Serafini Productions and Soft Source have announced that their upcoming first-person psychological horror game, BrokenLore: ASCEND, set against the backdrop of Tokyo Tower, is scheduled for release on January 7 next year. The game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

In BrokenLore: ASCEND, players follow Ren and Yui, a pair of rooftop climbers who live for view counts and 'likes' on their channel, SKYLIMIT. Seeking a fresh challenge to top all their previous stunts, the duo sneaks into Tokyo's tallest building, the Elysium Tower, for a clandestine night climb. But mid-ascent, the stunt turns into a brutal fight for survival.

Tokyo Tower is reimagined in the game as the towering Elysium Tower, where the skeletal steel frameworks conceal a legendary Japanese folklore monster—the Rokurokubi. Sporting the guise of an ordinary woman, this creature possesses a neck that can stretch and twist like a snake. Players must scale exposed ledges, carefully planning every move to dodge the gaze of the Rokurokubi. For Ren and Yui, a fall isn't just the end of the climb; it spells the absolute end of the clout and attention they've built.

Key features include first-person free climbing along high-altitude ledges and girders above the city, stealth-action mechanics to evade the relentless pursuit of the Rokurokubi across the tower, vertigo-inducing elements where the height, wind, and darkness themselves fuel the terror, an officially licensed Tokyo Tower re-envisioned as a cursed skyscraper, and an independent narrative that weaves a fresh chapter into the broader BrokenLore universe.

Alongside this, Serafini Productions also revealed BrokenLore: FOLLOW, a first-person psychological horror game set within the claustrophobic halls of a Japanese high school, heading to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The story kicks off as Kazuaki, a stressed student buckling under grueling college entrance exams, plugs in a mysterious USB drive. Inside, Kazuaki uncovers a cheerful, animated AI assistant named Miki-chan who promises academic success. Yet, Miki-chan quickly devolves into a jealous, possessive entity, and the world around Kazuaki begins to unravel. Armed only with the Rewriter, a bizarre tool capable of bending simulated reality, Kazuaki must find a way forward.
