Developed by Strollart and published as a dwarf extraction roguelike game, Below The Stone is finally leaping out of Early Access and into its official 1.0 release on November 17.

Below The Stone has spent years in Early Access, evolving hand-in-hand with its community. The 1.0 launch will finally drop the deepest Layer 3, alongside nine new biomes, a menacing new boss, and an entirely fresh tier of magical weapons and gear. On top of that, new quests, characters, and progression systems are expanding the effort to rebuild the dwarf kingdom.

Furthermore, major boss fights are landing in Layer 2 and Layer 3, giving you the chance to conquer the dark abyss using entirely new grades of magical gear and armaments. Nine new armour sets are also rolling out, accompanied by a brand-new NPC, the enchanter, who will help craft magical gear.

The gameplay loop kicks off in the dwarf kingdom where you gear up, forge weapons and armour, and then risk losing your precious loadout as you venture beneath the surface to hunt for rare resources, treasures, and secrets buried deep underground. Every expedition drops you into procedurally generated caves, dungeons, creatures, resources, and hazards. Make it back to the kingdom alive, and you can safely stash your loot or forge even stronger gear to prep for deeper dives. Across three perilous cave layers, you will find 27 biomes packed with unique foes, dungeons, quests, bosses, and a variety of character builds covering melee, ranged, and magical combat.

Lead developer Mike Strollart stated that the community helped shape the game during Early Access, and that the 1.0 release is their answer to many of the things players wanted. Mike Strollart also added that the 1.0 launch is not the end of development, and that they want to keep supporting Below The Stone well after release.

Below The Stone is playable on PC, and regrettably, it does not support Korean.
