Nexon announced on the 15th that two South Korean representatives will compete in the EA Sports FC Mobile global esports tournament, 'FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026'. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 25 at the DDP Showroom in Jung-gu, Seoul, with 32 players from around the world competing for a total prize pool of $250,000 (approximately 361,500,000 KRW).

The FC Pro Mobile World Championship 2026 is the premier tournament concluding the inaugural season of 'FC Pro Mobile', which launched this year. Following the first global offline tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand last August, Seoul will now crown the very first world champion. Hosted at DDP, operated by the Seoul Business Agency, and managed by SOOP, all matches will be broadcast live via SOOP's official channel, YouTube, and Chzzk.

Thirty-two players from around the world, selected through regional qualifiers and official EA Sports FC Mobile tournaments, will participate in this event. Representing South Korea, 'Ahina' Yu Chang-ho and 'Circle' Kwon Min-seok will step up to challenge for the global crown. On August 21 and 22, the 32 players will be divided into eight groups of four for the group stage, with the top two from each group—totaling 16 players—advancing to the knockout stage.

Following that, the Round of 16 will take place on August 23 and 24, leading up to the grand finals on August 25 to crown the ultimate champion. The winner will take home a grand prize of $60,000 (approximately 86,760,000 KRW), while the runner-up receives $40,000 (approximately 57,840,000 KRW). In addition, ties for 3rd place will each be awarded $20,000 (approximately 28,920,000 KRW).

On August 25, the day of the grand finals, an on-site spectator event will also be held. A total of 230 fans will be invited to the finals venue through a raffle for users who pre-registered for the tournament via the EA Sports FC Mobile in-game event page. The venue will feature a variety of programs, including an influencer squad clinic and an EA Sports FC Mobile experience zone.
