Unintentional Logic is launching the pixel art life simulation game 'Gendo the Gatherer' on Steam on November 12.

'Gendo the Gatherer' is a life simulation set in a cosy Edo period atmosphere. In the game, Gendo embarks on a journey of gathering, cooking, and serving in a volatile environment. After a long gathering session, Gendo returns home to prepare ingredients, cook, and serve the local residents.

Key features of the game include exploring and gathering in a world that changes with every visit, running a teahouse by taking and serving orders from local residents, cooking using harvested crops, and customising by unlocking new houses and furniture to decorate the home. It also includes small fun elements such as completing quests to help local residents build a standing in the community and petting racoon dogs.

Alongside the release date announcement, the updated demo version adds an expanded forest map, allowing Gendo to explore more areas and bring a wider variety of ingredients home. Returning players can experience a more expansive gathering space. Players can upgrade Gendo's house and teahouse, and meet a newly appeared merchant. A new mining minigame for mining resources has also been added, enriching the in-game activities.
