For those just dipping their toes in, a bunch of new accessibility features have rolled out. The game speed slow-down function dials back the overall pace while keeping enemy attack patterns and projectile counts completely intact, giving players a fighting chance to react. Meanwhile, the auto-firing feature takes the heat off manual aiming by letting weapons loose automatically, and motion sensor aiming via the DualSense wireless controller is also supported.

Veterans who have already conquered Saros get a fresh challenge with the brand new Eclipse Layers game mode. Eclipse Layers throws altered rules into the mix for a punishingly high difficulty, rewarding perseverance with a crown that grows alongside the challenge, plus 12 brand-new collectible items called Visions. These Visions hold hidden lore within the game, and you will need to push that crown level up if you want to uncover the extra story beats.
