Devolver Digital announced the official launch of Mycopunk on August 21. Developed by Pigeons at Play, Mycopunk is a co-op sci-fi shooter that first debuted in early access in July of last year. Marking this official release, the game has also landed on PS5 for the very first time. The PS5 version is available to play through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.

Mycopunk blends squad-based shooting action with cheeky humour and a delightfully eccentric sci-fi setting. When an unidentified fungus sweeps across the surface of New Atlas, players step into the boots of a cleanup crew deployed to clear it out. The goal is to squad up, gear up with state-of-the-art combat equipment, drop down to the satellite's surface, and blast this bizarre fungal threat back to where it came from. This 1.0 update introduces new firearms, grenades, mods, maps, and an entirely new character. Alongside these additions, a hat-fitting feature for characters has also been implemented.

Players can choose from a variety of weapons, enhancing their performance through Mycopunk's grid-based upgrade system to craft devastating loadouts. The true joy of co-op play lies in building synergies by combining upgraded abilities and customized weapons with teammates. You must never let your guard down, however, as any debris shot off an enemy can be picked up by other foes to make them bigger and tougher.
