Indie developer Seeding Swarm has launched Primal Planet, a Metroidvania title, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Primal Planet is a passion project crafted entirely by a solo developer over five years. The game weaves together combat, exploration, survival, and crafting, telling its story entirely without dialogue. Players step into the shoes of a prehistoric father striving to protect family from dinosaurs, savage tribes, and ancient aliens. Natural resources can be gathered to craft tools, weapons, and healing or defensive mixtures. By gaining experience and upgrading skills, players can overcome looming dangers.

This ancient planet teems with diverse wildlife. Fascinating Apatosaurus, a loyal Sinosauropteryx companion, and terrifying beasts like Carnotaurus and Tyrannosaurus roam the lands. Dealing with them requires solid tactics, handcrafted weapons, and baited traps. Above all, stealth, cunning, and sharp wits remain the ultimate weapons against these foes.

A small dinosaur companion named 'Sino' fights alongside the main character, and a second player can even control this companion in local co-op mode. Together, players can overcome environmental obstacles, solve puzzles, and enhance their abilities.

Alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Primal Planet is also available on Steam, GOG, and Nintendo Switch.
