Following recent news such as the addition of Darkest Dungeon DLC, word has broken that Darkest Dungeon 2 is making its way to mobile devices.

Playdigious announced on the 28th that the mobile version of Darkest Dungeon 2 will launch in 2027. Developed by Red Hook Studios, Darkest Dungeon 2 is a hardcore roguelike game, and the newly revealed mobile port will support both iOS and Android operating systems. This mobile announcement landed hot on the heels of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition release.

Set after the events of the first Darkest Dungeon, the sequel follows a crew of the damned as they journey across a decaying landscape, clinging to a desperate hope to avert total ruin. Players assemble an expedition party of heroes, equip the stagecoach, and push through a grueling, terrifying path toward the mountain. The core objective is to survive the long trek while encountering five nightmarish regions along the way.

Combat is entirely turn-based, demanding plenty of improvisation as you deal with not only external threats but also the festering tensions brewing right within your own ranks. Because of this, alongside leveling up combat capabilities, you have to carefully manage each hero's psychological stress, as well as the bonds and rivalries forming between party members.

Meanwhile, an exact release date for the mobile version of Darkest Dungeon 2 has not been nailed down yet, and whether it will support Korean remains unconfirmed.
