Weekleworks announced on the 29th that Bore to the Core is scheduled for release on Steam. Bore to the Core is a game that combines mobile base defense with factory automation, depicting the journey of mole rats digging all the way to the core of the world.

The core of Bore to the Core is building a base through physics-based automation. Riding a giant tunnel borer to explore a dangerous underground world, players must defend the moving base from hazards, gas, and monsters. To survive, it is necessary to automate factories, gather resources from the tunnel, and fight off monsters to keep the base running.

There are eight biomes in the game, each threatening the expedition in new ways. Players will encounter the gas-filled Vapour Banes, the crowded Noisy Nests, the desolate Bedrock Belt, and the blazing Hell's Haze. While exploring the biomes, players will dig into a world filled with rocks, minerals, and natural treasures, using them to automate the borer's fuel and item production, smelt ores into precious metals, and unearth rare gems and treasures from the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Bore to the Core is currently in development with a target release in the fourth quarter of 2026.
