Claws Cat Games and Curveball Games have launched Planted!, a party game supporting one to four players, on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 29. The game features chaotic multiplayer gardening combat where players battle friends to climb the ranks. The PC version is coming soon due to Steam approval delays, with an exact release date yet to be confirmed.

Planted! is currently out now as a digital version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The physical version for PS5 is scheduled to launch ahead of Christmas. The digital version for Nintendo Switch is expected in early 2027, with the physical version arriving around mid-2027.

The game challenges players to engage in gardening combat across various locations such as farms, volcanoes, and mountain slopes. Players aim to plant, grow, and hurl crops at targets or each other to score points and become the champion. Eight unique multiplayer arenas are provided, including a windy mountain slope, a cave system, a skyscraper under construction, and an active volcano, each presenting distinct challenges. Players can utilise power-ups like weed bombs, potato turrets, and green replicas to gain an edge over the competition.

In addition to the eight arenas playable in local and online multiplayer (supporting cross-play), Planted! offers a dedicated single-player story mode that dives deep into the competitive gardening world. The campaign tests the gardening prowess of the player across various settings, complete with challenging objectives and boss fights. Skills picked up in the single-player mode can also be put to use in multiplayer.
