Pearl Abyss has launched the very first downloadable content (DLC) for Crimson Desert Enhanced, titled Charting the Unknown, globally. This DLC brings a fresh narrative alongside a rich suite of new features, including ocean sailing, underwater exploration, relationship-building with specific characters, facility management and administration, and an advanced housing system.

Charting the Unknown unfolds a brand new tale where Kliff, Oongka, and Demian—three figures who defended Pywel after brutal battles—set out to find their individual life purposes. The adventures of Pywel now expand far beyond land into the open ocean and deep underwater. Players can construct their own vessels to set sail and explore uncharted islands, or dive deep beneath the waves to uncover hidden treasures, ancient ruins, and well-kept secrets.

A variety of content designed to enrich everyday life through interactions with the residents of Pywel has also been introduced. Through the characters Kliff, Oongka, and Demian, players can build trust with local inhabitants, eventually developing romantic bonds or even getting married. On top of that, players can engage in economic activities by leasing and managing liberated outposts to accumulate wealth.

The expanded housing system offers features that allow players to design and construct buildings from scratch, going beyond simple interior decoration to place walls, windows, and fundamentally shape the basic structure of a home. For certain castles, once the stronghold is liberated, players can decorate both the courtyard and the interior to use as their very own personal space. Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Apple Mac, and the Epic Games Store.
