Sega Publishing Korea has released the latest footage featuring 'Lionel Rafale', a new character set to appear in the upcoming new title 'Virtua Fighter Crossroads', scheduled for release in 2027.

The released footage offers a glimpse of the new fighter, Lionel Rafale, in action. Lionel is a formidable individual who confronts the protagonist Cielo on the streets, boasting skills powerful enough to overwhelm them. The purpose of Lionel's visit to Villasapara and their true identity remain shrouded in mystery, leaving plenty of room for curiosity. Given the shared surname, similar stance, and appearance with the classic Virtua Fighter series regular 'Lion Rafale', speculation naturally points towards a familial relation, likely as a son.

'Virtua Fighter Crossroads' is a fighting adventure game that blends the series' traditional, straightforward yet deep competitive battle mechanics with a narrative crafted by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Through an omnibus-style story unfolding across four protagonists, the game promises to paint a dramatic picture where individual convictions, bonds, and fates intersect.

The stage is set in 'Villasapara', a fictional city located on a tropical island in Southeast Asia. As players explore various districts of this designated fighting city, from downtown and entertainment districts to resort zones, the main and side stories paint a vivid picture of the lives and relationships of the locals. Expect a diverse array of combat scenarios tied directly into the narrative, including multi-opponent brawls and boss battles, alongside fully supported online multiplayer.
