Krafton is set to kick off the finals of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS) 2025, the pinnacle of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) esports calendar, starting on the 4th.

The BMPS serves as the battleground where the top pro teams from across India clash for the championship title. As the premier official league hosted by Krafton, this marks the third year of the competition.

The prize pool for this year's tournament has doubled compared to last year, reaching a total of 40 million rupees (approximately 640 million KRW). While the prize was initially set at 20 million rupees, it was finalized at 40 million after in-game events linked to the prize pool successfully hit their targets.

Following a qualifying stage that began on May 22 with 96 invited teams, the top 16 squads have advanced to the finals. The grand showdown will take place from the 4th to the 6th at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, India.

BGMI holds the distinction of being the first esports title in India to be broadcast live on television, previously recording a peak of 24 million concurrent viewers. The BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES (BGIS) 2025, an official BGMI league, saw about 330,000 teams participate, racking up 34 million unique YouTube viewers and a total of 88 million views.

An official from Krafton’s India division remarked, "This BMPS stands as a significant milestone in the growth of the Indian gaming industry and esports ecosystem," adding that, "The expanded prize pool is both a token of gratitude for the passion of BGMI players and a reflection of Krafton's commitment to turning esports into a sustainable career path."
