The Last Hour features visuals and a combat system reminiscent of a JRPG. Players will command a party of four—series staples Neil Watts and Eva Rosalene, joined by Rob and Roxy—to solve puzzles and engage in turn-based combat as they defeat enemies in a 'lighthouse-shaped dungeon' and ascend to higher levels. Fans can expect a reunion with a host of familiar faces from throughout the series' history.

According to the update on the 5th, the title is being developed using a new engine. Furthermore, the screenshots feature Fayee, a brown-haired girl with a blue ribbon, and the Sigmund Corp building, raising expectations for the story ahead.

Meanwhile, Freebird Games expressed their desire to "give the series a proper send-off" with this project, adding, "Thank you for joining us and waiting through this decade-long journey."
