In Raven 2, managing your gear inventory is a constant juggling act. Between enhancing, dismantling, selling, and chasing item collections, you will find yourself at a crossroads more often than you would like. The real headache usually comes down to choosing between the Exchange and the Item Collection. The former nets you quick crystals, while the latter grants permanent stat boosts. To save you from this existential inventory crisis, I have laid out some ground rules.

Exchange or Collection: Where should your gear go?

Back in June, the Raven 2 KookminTree team shared some tips regarding item sales. The core takeaway was simple: check the 'Transaction Completed' count against the 'Registered for Sale' count. If the former is higher, your item has a good chance of actually selling. If there is a massive surplus of listings, you are just feeding an oversaturated market. But should you really offload all that gear? Remember, gear can be sacrificed for the Item Collection or dismantled to gather Elite Special Agent shards.

To clear the fog, keep this priority list in mind. Completing item collections is almost always a win. Every milestone reached rewards you with stats, enhancement stones, and crafting patterns that are simply too good to ignore. Always aim to fill those collection slots first.

Filling your collection is the gold standard, but some entries demand high-level enhancements, which is a massive ask. Here, you must weigh the required enhancement level against the market demand. If the item is rarely traded, prioritize the collection. But for high-demand items? Consider your supply of enhancement stones first. If the enhancement fails, the item and the stones vanish into thin air. Risk management is key.

Personally, I tend to push weapons to +8, armor to +7, and accessories to +3. Anything beyond that carries too much risk of destruction, so I prefer selling them on the Exchange instead. I also make it a habit to hoard at least 30 enhancement stones for both weapons and armor, just in case a sudden event mission demands a sudden upgrade surge.

Raven 2 is practically built on a cycle of events, attendance checks, and missions. Gear enhancement tasks are a recurring staple in these events. It is often smarter to hold your high-level enhancement attempts for when a mission actually demands them. As a side note, the current Comac event series concludes on July 9th; keep an eye out, as a new event is likely to kick off immediately after.

Handle rare gear with care—to dismantle or not to dismantle?

When dealing with rare gear, you also have to consider whether to save them for Elite Special Agent gear crafting. Crafting these items requires specific tokens, which are obtained by dismantling rare gear that has been enhanced to a certain level. Each item has a different 'dismantling efficiency'—the higher it is, the more tokens you get. Focus your dismantling efforts on items with high efficiency.

Raven 2 does not explicitly label gear tiers or dismantling efficiency. Most of us have had to figure this out through trial and error, cross-referencing market listings, material recipes, and option counts. As a rule of thumb, entry-level 'Successor' gear requires high enhancement for low dismantling returns, whereas field-dropped rare gear is much more efficient. Sell or collect the low-tier junk, and dismantle the high-tier finds.

Here is a practical example from my recent playtime. I pulled a rare 'Cold Wind Bracelet' from a steel chest. Needing tokens, I pushed it to +4. When I checked the dismantling screen, a +3 rare accessory gave me 1 token, while the +4 Cold Wind Bracelet gave me 2. Do your own testing or check community forums; efficiency data is worth its weight in crystals.

So, once you have decided to sell that rare gear—and you no longer need the tokens or collection materials—is it worth the crystal profit? If the market price is high, absolutely.

Before listing, dive into the 'Purchase' tab to see the recent transaction trends. The Raven 2 Exchange categorizes gear by item, then enhancement level. Check the going rate for your specific enhancement level, then list yours at a price that aligns with the most frequent transaction volume. It gives you a better sense of what players are actually willing to pay for. Good luck with your trades.

If all this sounds like too much math for a game, just stick to the basics: enhance and complete your collection. Getting those permanent stat boosts is usually more impactful for your character's growth than a few extra crystals in the short term.

Hot spots for profit: Dungeons and Heroic pattern shards.

The most sought-after items on the Exchange are crafting patterns and shards. You can track the current market in the 'Sundries - Materials' tab. Generally, the price hierarchy goes: Accessories > Skill Books > Armor > Weapons.

You can find these shards in regular dungeons: 'Ancient Temple' (Armor), 'Deep Swamp' (Weapons), and 'Red Rock Canyon' (Accessories). These dungeons drop rare shards by default, with Heroic shards added to the drop table at higher difficulty levels. Since these dungeons also drop the rare gear we discussed earlier, they are the absolute best places to farm for the Exchange.

My advice? Keep the rare shards and sell the Heroic ones. You need the rare shards for monthly crafting, where you can convert them into 20 Heroic pattern shards. Since crafting has a failure rate, you will want a healthy stockpile. Selling your Heroic shards is a classic 'one step back, two steps forward' strategy. You gain crystals now, and you can still craft your own Heroic patterns through the monthly system. Once you are ready to craft a full Heroic item, stop selling and use those saved crystals to bridge the gap.
