The first week of July for the Raven 2 Meca Ranking chart felt remarkably wintry. Shifts in popular classes and their market share were practically non-existent. With no server transfers in June and the class change season following the Deathbringer launch coming to a premature end, the rankings were bound to crystallize. Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for things to freeze over, even with the first-anniversary event in the mix. It was high time for a catalyst to inject some life back into the competition.

That catalyst arrived in the form of the July server transfer season. Suddenly, all the data began skittering about like squirrels waking from hibernation. Let’s start with the class popularity per server. The landscape is dominated by two main tropes: the fierce duel for the top two spots between Night Ranger and Divine Caster, and the desperate scramble for third place among the rest. In most worlds, the Night Ranger has emerged as the clear victor.

As for the latter, melee classes like Assassin, Vanguard, and Berserker are making waves. They’ve locked down the third-place spots in the Lux, Nox, Vita, and Kerum worlds. However, Deathbringer and Destroyer are putting up a fight, effectively blocking a total monopoly in some servers. It’s quite unexpected to see the Destroyer’s influence grow so significantly post-transfer. Deathbringer, meanwhile, seems to have its sights set on larger horizons, expanding its footprint in the Terra, Solar, and Mare worlds to claim third place. I’m eager to see if this evolves into a full-blown 'Melee vs. Deathbringer' meta showdown.

The situation is a bit different in the Fides server of the Terra and Solar worlds, as well as the Fides and Mors servers of the Mare world. Here, melee classes have either overtaken the Divine Caster or pulled even to clinch second place. This feels like a continuation of the upward trend we’ve seen from Assassins, Vanguards, and Berserkers since Q2. Will they keep the momentum going and force a meta shift? It’s going to be a fascinating watch.

Overall Class Analysis

Moving on to the Raven 2 Korean region ranker class share: The Divine Caster’s share has dipped by 1.5 percentage points, and both the Assassin and Elementalist have taken minor hits. While the Elementalist’s share drop is the smallest in terms of volume, the impact is arguably the most severe, as it has pushed the class down to 8th place. Having lost the third spot to the Assassin, and with the Deathbringer gobbling up the remaining scraps, the Elementalist is having a rough year, to say the least.

Most other classes saw an uptick in their shares. The most notable growth comes from the Night Ranger and Deathbringer, both up by 0.6 percentage points. The Berserker followed with a 0.4-point increase, while the Vanguard and Destroyer grew by 0.3 and 0.2 points, respectively.

The shifts among the mid-to-low tier classes—Vanguard, Deathbringer, Berserker, and Destroyer—are particularly striking. All four saw their shares rise, closing the gaps between them to under 1 percentage point. With a mere 0.5-point spread between Vanguard and Deathbringer, could we be looking at a total rankings shake-up soon? I’m genuinely excited to see next week’s tally.

Global Class Analysis

The Global region ranker class share mirrors the Korean region quite closely. The Divine Caster and Elementalist lost ground, which was promptly picked up by the others. The only real differences lie in the static shares of the Night Ranger and Berserker, along with the specific ranking order and volatility. Furthermore, the Global region shows much wider gaps between class shares; it feels more fragmented compared to the Korean region. Outside of the lower-ranked Vanguard and Destroyer, any further reshuffling seems highly unlikely.

PVP Ranking Status

The KDA scores for Raven 2 saw a steep upward trajectory this week. While the overall number of rankers was relatively low and kill counts were modest, the performance metrics skyrocketed as we climbed the ranks. The stats of the Top 20 rankers perfectly illustrate this trend.

The most significant 'kill wall' hit at 4th place, where the 20-kill threshold proved elusive for most. Only three rankers from the Kerum world—'EagleFighter', 'Daon3', and 'Jopok'—managed to push past it. While EagleFighter secured a higher kill count at 100, the 3 deaths slightly dampened the KDA score. In this regard, Daon, with 94 kills and 0 deaths, takes the edge.

Looking back at last week’s user poll, we asked how you tackle your monster codex. The top choice was 'knock out the quick ones first.' It seems like the goal is to declutter your to-do list. Perhaps the strategy is to finish the collection quickly, dismantle the remaining materials, and trade them for monster codex coins to snag those codex boxes.

In second place was 'aiming for rare crafting pattern fragments.' This was a surprise, as I expected heroic pattern fragments to take the lead. It seems that for users grinding for heroic gear, the priority is lower because heroic fragments can be gathered through other avenues.

We’ll wrap up this Meca Ranking with a new poll topic. On July 9th, Raven 2 kicked off its summer event—a non-negotiable staple in the gaming industry. Raven 2 is known for handing out special outfits during these seasonal festivities; we’ve seen swimsuits, hanbok, and Santa costumes in the past, and this year is no different with a new set of swimwear.
