Krafton’s PUBG Mobile is diving headfirst into a crossover with the iconic Transformers franchise.

From July 9th to September 2nd, players can pilot the legendary Autobot Optimus Prime or the malevolent Decepticon Megatron within the new Transformers Theme Mode.

By using the new 'Cybertron Beacon' item, players can summon and take the helm of these mechanical behemoths. Both robots can fluidly switch between vehicle and robot forms, utilizing unique tactical abilities. Once on the battlefield, players can scavenge for Energy Cores to unlock special moves like Optimus Prime’s 'Charge Slam' or Megatron’s 'Fusion Blast'.

Should players piloting these bots cross paths on the Erangel map, a protective barrier will manifest, creating a dedicated arena for an intense 1v1 duel. If a robot is downed during the fray, the machine can be repaired to return to the fight, with the victor claiming a reward for their efforts.

Players can pledge allegiance to either the Optimus Prime or Megatron faction to complete 'Trial' events. Taking down an opposing robot triggers a unique victory cutscene. Additionally, players can hop through portals to reach the Space Meteorite zone, featuring backdrops of Earth and the planet Cybertron, along with the 'Cybertron Device' which includes a date display and the high-speed 'Hoverboard'. Keep an eye out on the 18th of this month, when extra content, including Transformers-themed vehicles and items, will be unveiled.
