However, looking at the wider data, there has been a significant drop in pick rates across the board—a clear ripple effect from the sudden arrival of two major characters at once.

The top 3 pick rates reveal something curious. Let us work our way backward. Jave, sitting at 3rd, has resurfaced in the so-called 'tank deck' endurance compositions. This is largely thanks to Karma's skill set, which acts as a massive boon for defensive setups. By contributing to ally recovery and increased block rates, Karma has spurred a simultaneous rise in related hero picks. Consequently, Rudy climbed 29.5 percentage points to reach 2nd place, and Lina, at 8th, saw a 26.5 percentage point increase to re-enter the chart. The defensive party, which Melcure had previously knocked down, is enjoying a resurgence.

The crowning achievement goes to the old Seven Knights member, Roji, who currently holds 1st place. While Roji is a core pillar of defensive parties, Roji remains a popular pick in magic-type compositions as well. In Melcure's 'Mana Backflow'-based teams, a composition mixing Melcure, Yeonhee, and Rin with Roji and Nia has become the mainstream meta. As a result, the SKRB arena has split into two dominant camps: defensive parties centered around Karma, and magic-type combinations led by Rin, Melcure, and Yeonhee. Roji sits at the intersection of these two, reigning supreme as the most picked hero.

Rin replaces Sylvesta, a change players can make depending on transcendence levels or personal preference, though Rin is becoming the mainstream choice due to relative ease of growth. The current meta involves leading with Rin's 'Wrath of the Dragon Emperor' as the first reserved skill to inflict the confusion debuff. This locks down the opponent's offensive capabilities, allowing for a methodical start. From there, you can follow up with Melcure's Mana Backflow, Yeonhee's sleep, or Nia's shock and cooldown increase—any of which can land a decisive blow.

The Achilles' heel, as always, is the initiative. Everything hinges on Rin using that first skill; if the opponent pulls off this strategy first, you have no choice but to watch your team crumble. However, blindly boosting speed can sacrifice other critical stats, weakening the party's overall power. Arena top-rankers are currently in a deep dilemma trying to strike the perfect balance.

Total War 43rd Place 'Gichun'

This week's Total War pick features the 4th party of 'Gichun', who finished in 43rd place last season. This season, their rank has skyrocketed, and as of the 9th round on July 15th, they are cruising in 1st place. It is fascinating to see how they actively incorporate new heroes into their practical combat rotations.

The first party, utilizing Karma, is built on the concept of endurance. By combining Rudy, Lina, and Roji, the team possesses an incredibly high defensive weight class. They mix recovery and defensive abilities every turn to force a long-drawn-out battle. Jave then chips away at the opponent's health with counters, stuns, and burns. Karma has truly taken the stability of this party to the next level.

The third team, the Rin party, is a magic attack composition spearheaded by Sylvesta, Melcure, and Yushin. Rin and Yeonhee provide firepower from the backline, while Sylvesta and Melcure, built for lifesteal and survivability, soak up damage in the front. Since it relies on the Mana Backflow engine, it is a versatile party capable of responding to both offense and defense. However, it shares the same weakness as the Best Pick mentioned earlier: it requires high speed to execute the desired strategy. Be warned—if you lose the initiative, your win rate will plummet, even against seemingly manageable teams.

Seven Knights Re:BIRTH User Poll
