The official sequel to 'Staffer Case', a mystery title released in 2023 that managed to charm Steam users to an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating, has finally surfaced on the Steam store page.

Team Tetrapod opened the Steam page for 'Staffer Retro' on the 15th. Previously teased under the monikers 'Project SS' and 'Staffer Staff', this sequel explores the timeline following the original title. The narrative follows 'Verita Retro', a girl who finds herself retracing the history of supernatural powers due to a particular incident.

The title is set to feature six distinct episodes, promising over 30 hours of gameplay. With 21 characters in total, fans will be pleased to find familiar faces, including Brian, as the game shares the same universe as its predecessor. Furthermore, all characters, including extras, have been treated with Spine animation technology, ensuring a much more fluid and natural range of motion.

A representative from Team Tetrapod told Gamemeca, "Much like its predecessor 'Staffer Case', Staffer Retro will be a mystery game with a progression style you have never experienced before," adding, "We hope you look forward to Staffer Retro."

Meanwhile, Team Tetrapod revealed their 'Tetrapod Saga' roadmap last October, which connects the universe of the Staffer series. Following the release of Staffer Retro later this year, the team plans to drop a spin-off title next year, with the second major sequel, 'Staffer Dilemma', slated for a 2027 launch.
