On July 17, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is diving headfirst into its summer season festivities. The update packs a three-week story event featuring a total of four pick-ups—two brand-new units and two returning favorites—alongside three new costumes and four sets of Treasured Items.

Let us take a closer look at the summer event, BOOM! THE GHOST!. The narrative revolves around an exorcism mission set aboard the luxury cruise liner 'Utopia' drifting through the surface sea. Running from July 17 to August 7, the event splits its story into two parts released a week apart. Players can also look forward to a 14-day login bonus and a mini-game called BFG CLEAN UP!, which offer Advanced Recruit Vouchers and various growth materials.

As for the new units, Dorothy: Serendipity takes the spotlight as the very first limited-time Pilgrim. This Water-coded, Attacker, Burst III, Shotgun-wielding unit is already generating buzz as a potential core for new shotgun-focused teams. When the shotgun 'pellets' hit a certain number of times, Dorothy: Serendipity grants self-buffs including piercing capabilities, accuracy, attack power, and attack speed.

Then there is Elegg: Boom & Shock, a Missilis-affiliated Water Attacker using a Machine Gun. Elegg: Boom & Shock wields skills that capture ghosts from enemies to empower allies and the unit itself. Since the Burst skill effectiveness scales based on the number of captured ghosts, players will need to manage this character with some tactical precision. Dorothy: Serendipity’s pick-up begins on July 17, while Elegg: Boom & Shock arrives on July 24. Furthermore, Rapi: Red Hood, Tove, and Yulha are receiving new summer-themed costumes; Rapi: Red Hood’s is a shop item, while the others are locked behind Event and Monthly passes.

The summer of 2024 also marks the return of past limited units. Sakura: Bloom in Summer is scheduled to reappear on July 24, followed by Rosanna: Chic Ocean on July 31. Alongside these reruns, the 2024 summer event story 'BEAUTY FULL SHOT' will be added to the Archives for those who missed out on the previous sun-soaked drama.

The bi-annual Treasured Item update has arrived, and this time, Poli, Yulha, Tove, and Bay are the lucky recipients. Crafting a Treasured Item requires a character to reach Bond level 30 and possess a Level 15 SR-grade Collectible.
