NoPpakkussural, the top-ranked Tower of Chaos player, switches to Berserker

The most eye-catching shift in this initial tally is undoubtedly NoPpakkussural. As an Assassin main, NoPpakkussural had been a permanent fixture in the celestial rankings since the inception of the Tower of Chaos. When the 35th floor was the endgame, NoPpakkussural famously left a massive mark by being the first to break the 10-second barrier.

Now, however, NoPpakkussural has switched to Berserker. This has left the overall and Assassin top spots vacant, sparking a scramble for the throne. The first record as a Berserker stands at 14 seconds on the 40th floor, placing the player in a tie for 5th place overall. While this is a step back from the final Season 5 record of 10 seconds—which claimed the overall #1 spot—the perspective shifts when we focus strictly on the Berserker class. The Season 5 peak for a Berserker was 48 seconds on the 40th floor, meaning NoPpakkussural has slashed that record by a staggering 34 seconds.

The catalyst for this shift is likely the recently introduced class change system. In celebration of the summer season, Raven 2 released new items allowing players to purchase both class change tickets and conversion tokens for gold. Season 5 acted like a launchpad; with the goalposts moved to the 40th floor, many players pushed harder from the start. The Berserkers followed suit. While they started the tally with only nine players, that number swelled to 22 by the end. This momentum has carried into Season 6, with 15 Berserker rankers clearing the 35th floor in the first tally—an all-time high.

It’s not just the number of rankers that grew. A total of seven players have broken their previous personal bests. Close behind is 'VIPShotppa' at 13 seconds, with 'RomanceTtikkeum', 'RomanceCiel', and 'MythYeonggil' tied for third at 14 seconds. It is a razor-thin margin where every second counts, and the battle for the crown is truly anyone's game.

Tower of Chaos: Top 5 by Class

Moving on to the Top 5 rankings by class. Raven 2 players seem to have adapted well to the 40th-floor environment of the Tower of Chaos. 300 rankers have cleared the 35th floor and are setting their sights even higher. In Season 5, we didn't reach these numbers until mid-season, which speaks volumes about the improvement in player stats and skill.

However, breaking records isn't easy. Only Berserkers, Night Rangers, Divine Casters, and Deathbringers successfully improved their personal bests. The Night Ranger and Divine Caster shaved off 2 seconds, while the Deathbringer cut 5 seconds. The Berserker, as noted, soared ahead by cutting 34 seconds. Conversely, the Vanguard, Destroyer, Elementalist, and Assassin actually saw their top clear times increase.

The situation between the 1st and 2nd place Vanguards is quite interesting.
