This guide focuses on optimal farming strategies for Chaos Coins, with the ultimate goal being to secure high-tier Hero gear. Let's break down the process step-by-step.

Chaos Tower: Prioritize Coins over Buff Settings

As of 28 July, Chaos Tower Season 6 has roughly 37 days remaining. You get three entry tickets daily, meaning about 111 total attempts left. Note that 3 September doesn't count toward your farming window because Raven 2 resets at 05:00, effectively tying that morning to the session on 2 September.

The secret sauce here is balancing 'climbing high' with 'pure coin farming.' It is a bit fiddly, so let's take it slowly. Higher floors offer better yield, so the idea is to push your limits, plant your flag, and then grind those specific floors for maximum coin returns.

If you are chasing the high floors, you face a dilemma. You often have to burn entry tickets on lower-reward floors just to cycle through buffs. This is a net loss in coins, and if luck isn't on your side, the delay compounds. You may even find yourself tempted to buy extra tickets to compensate for the inefficiency.

If you are playing for the coins, postpone your buff hunting. To minimize losses, stick to the floors that offer the best repeat rewards. Chaos Tower rewards are grouped in roughly 5-floor increments—for instance, floors 1-5 yield 25, 6-10 offer 33, and 11-15 grant 42. If you have reached floor 15, farming floors 12 or 14 for buffs is acceptable, but dipping any lower is rarely worth the trade-off.

You can purchase additional Chaos Tower entries from the shop for 100 Crystals—a sum easily earned via the Exchange. Use these sparingly, however. Unlike standard tickets, these are consumed upon failure. Only use them on floors you can clear with 100% certainty or via sweep tickets.

Chaos Coins: What is the expected yield?

Let’s estimate your future coin earnings. Season 6 began on 16 July; as of 28 July, 13 days have passed. If you have been climbing steadily with your daily free tickets, you should be around floor 39. Since the cap is 40, you have essentially cleared the initial rewards for all floors. From here on, we assume you are farming repeat clear rewards.

Take a look at the chart. We have calculated totals starting from 28 July, assuming you stick to one tier until the end. The red text indicates your total potential haul. From the 6-10 floor tier, you start gathering enough materials for Hero-grade Transmutation Orbs. This is exactly why I suggest skipping the buff grind in lower tiers; it only serves to shrink your 37-day total and limit your shop options.

We have marked the floors where you gain buffs upon clearing, but honestly, these are suboptimal for farming. Every clear triggers a buff change, which is a nuisance if you are happy with your current setup. Floors 6, 16, and 26 are particularly awkward as they are the start of their respective tiers. For the best farming experience, target floors 7, 17, or 27.

If you struggle to reach higher floors, dump your sweep tickets there. Sweeping does not trigger a buff change. Using extra entry tickets here is also a solid choice. If you are out of sweeps, drop down to the tier below. Of course, if profit is your only god, feel free to ignore the buffs entirely.

The 30 July Update: Keep an eye on Hero Pattern Fragment prices

Remember, Chaos Coins and sweep tickets vanish when the season ends. While the developer provides a conversion recipe for Extra Entry Tickets into Top-Tier Summon Choice Boxes, that is merely damage control. Your priority is to spend what you earn. Focus your attention on the Heartstone Fragment of the Demon, as it is the current priority over Transmutation Orbs.

This stems from the 15th developer note released on 25 July. The 30 July update will overhaul guild currency. If you donate Glory Coins to your guild, you will receive a new currency called Token of Unity. This will be used to purchase Hero-grade weapon, armour, and accessory patterns, as well as materials for Legendary gear.

The Hero Patterns are the real deal. This year, the developers are actively lowering the barrier to entry for Hero gear. The question is: will you spend your hard-earned Chaos Coins on Heartstone Fragments or Hero Transmutation Orbs?

Make your final decision after checking the pattern prices post-update on 30 July. As a rule of thumb, ask yourself: 'Can I afford one piece per four seasons?' You need two Heartstones for high-tier Hero gear, which requires 20 Heartstone Fragments. Since you can only buy five fragments per season, it takes four seasons to finish.

A single season lasts about 6 to 7 weeks. This cycle overlaps with the monthly Hero Pattern Fragment crafting reset. By sticking to this, you can collect 40 fragments of various types. Four seasons is plenty of time to aim for a finished Hero Pattern. Use both systems in tandem to aim for that top-tier gear.

Conversely, if four seasons feels like a lifetime, prioritize the Transmutation Orbs. Use the leftover coins to grab Heartstone Fragments, and try your luck with transmutation instead. If you have already stockpiled fragments or patterns, feel free to adjust your strategy as you see fit.
