The Neople chapter of the Nexon branch of the Korean Chemical, Textile & Food Workers' Union has announced a full-scale, five-day-a-week strike starting August 1. Until now, the union had maintained a schedule of full strikes from Monday to Wednesday, with targeted strikes on Thursdays and Fridays.

Beginning at 5:00 PM on the 31st, the union will hold simultaneous rallies at the Autoway Tower in Seoul—which houses the company's local office—and at the Neople headquarters in Jeju to declare the transition to a full-scale strike. The union’s demands include transparency regarding compensation standards and fair rewards based on performance.

The union stressed that the current management style, characterized by opaque performance-based rewards, inevitably dampens morale and eventually drags down service quality. The union argues that unless the management is deliberately aiming for such an outcome, the company must improve its practices by publishing clear standards and formalizing the system, thereby creating a structure where staff are motivated to perform well and users receive better service in return.

The two parties are set to meet for negotiations at the Jeju Regional Government Complex on August 1. Regarding the meeting, the Neople side stated, "The August 1 negotiation session was proposed by the company itself," adding that the company intends to engage in the talks with sincerity and strive to minimize any inconvenience caused to the players.
