While they managed to cling to the top spot in aggregate scores, their numbers actually dipped. Meanwhile, the second-place incumbent, 'OneDayLive', suffered a dramatic tumble to 9th. Their void was swiftly filled by the 'ByeolByeol' guild. It’s been a while since we’ve seen such seismic shifts in the upper echelons, barring the game's earliest days. Here’s the breakdown of the first week of August's Siege warfare.

Cheolgeo’s aggregate score takes a hit

For the first time, Cheolgeo’s total score has trended downwards. After hitting 501,074,343 last week, they finished this tally at 499,964,579—a drop of exactly 1,109,764 points. As we’ll see in the daily breakdown below, witnessing a score dip from the perennial powerhouse Cheolgeo feels rather peculiar. They aren't the only ones feeling the pinch; OneDayLive, previously in second, bled roughly 90 million points, sliding all the way to 9th. This vacancy has naturally nudged other top-10 guilds slightly up the ladder.

Taking the second spot, 'ByeolByeol' managed to squeeze out an additional 20 million points. While that was still 21 million shy of where OneDayLive stood last week, they’ve clearly benefited from the latter’s sudden stumble. Third-place 'Romantic' saw a modest increase of about 1.8 million. They maintained their standing, but were overtaken by the now-fourth-place ByeolByeol. It remains to be seen if OneDayLive can claw back their position in the next update.

SajaB reclaims the throne after three weeks

The 'Arine' affiliated ranker 'SajaB', who took the individual crown in the second week of July, has successfully snatched it back. Moving up from third place last week, SajaB increased their score by approximately 2 million. Additionally, 'Jingdasa' from the ByeolByeol guild, who had briefly slipped out of the top 10, made a triumphant return to second place. SajaB and Jingdasa are currently the only two players holding scores in the 20-million range, which explains why Arine and ByeolByeol are dominating the guild aggregate rankings.

Elsewhere, the guilds 'JipnaganLudy', 'MaoGuild', 'Seongheun', and 'Gamseong' each contributed one player to the top 10. For JipnaganLudy and Gamseong, this marks their first-ever top 10 appearance. The remaining four spots are occupied by Cheolgeo members. Though their representation dropped by one, they still command a 40% share of the top-tier rankings. I look forward to seeing more fresh faces shake things up in the coming weeks.

1st Week of August Daily Siege Results

Here is the chart for the first week of August. We observed drops in Cheolgeo’s scores on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. In the 'Frozen Castle', their score was over 2 million lower than last week. This is likely due to the whims of RNG or shifts in personnel. While the optimal meta-compositions for Siege are largely settled, RNG-based patterns or tactical variations can still occur. We’ll keep an eye on whether they bounce back next time.

We also noted that the OneDayLive guild dipped out of the top 10 on several occasions. It wasn't that the guild vanished, mind you; it was simply a temporary score regression. They’ve been running at full tilt for a while, so perhaps they’re just catching their breath. However, with plenty of hungry guilds nipping at their heels, they’ll need to get back to the grind soon. I’m quite curious to see how the landscape shifts in the next report.

Siege Picks of the Week

The Siege party we’re highlighting today is for the 'Ancient Dragon's Castle'. As of the first week of August, Jingdasa from the ByeolByeol guild set the high score at 3,178,308. This encounter requires a trio of physical damage dealers, and you must avoid Jave’s burn and stun effects at all costs.

Jingdasa’s chosen setup was 'Rachel - Yui - Taka - Sieg - Lina'. Every unit had reached at least 6 Transcendence, with Yui being the sole 12-Transcendence unit. This build maximizes Taka’s firepower by leveraging Rachel’s physical debuff and defense shred, Yui’s physical damage boost, Sieg’s rear-line physical attack buff, and Lina’s damage boost combined with defense reduction. While Sieg only possesses single-target skills, the stun immunity passive makes them an essential inclusion—think of them as a 'totem' style buffer.

For the high-score hunters, the sub-dealer and stun-immunity hero slots are flexible. You could swap Rachel for pure dealers like 'Pungyeon' or 'Biyeon'. If you lack Sieg, 'Evan' is your go-to. Note that without Sieg’s physical attack buff, Taka’s damage will suffer, but if you’re struggling to survive the full 70 turns, Evan is the superior choice. Evan’s team-wide shield and block-rate buff are massive boons for longevity. Also, keep in mind that Jave appears in the front line, so Lina will hit the defense debuff threshold even without 6 Transcendence. Best of luck out there!
