The hero pick-rate charts, which were thrown into chaos following the release of the new hero Colt, have finally entered a period of stabilization. Initially, Colt-based combinations seemed to be wandering without a proper anchor, but the outlines of a meta are beginning to emerge. We are even seeing a significant number of cases where Colt is being adopted as the main damage dealer for defensive parties, not just offensive ones. Consequently, Colt has tied with Rudy for the number one spot in pick-rate. Let’s dive into the details with the arena team formation statistics.

Rudy's rising pick-rate as a counter to Colt

Before we analyze the metrics, let’s go over the changes to the overall hero pick-rate chart. In the early days of SKRB, the arena was dominated by top-tier players gravitating toward a specific hero composition to slug it out. In that environment, looking at just the top 10 heroes was enough to read the meta.

However, the recent PvP landscape in SKRB has become a complex web of 'Physical Attack, Magic Attack, Defensive, and Hybrid' parties due to new hero releases. As we enter a phase where synergy and counters between compositions define the meta, pick-rate percentages have naturally leveled off. This means we need to cast a wider net to get the full picture. We have decided to display heroes with pick-rates of 20% or higher, extending our chart from the top 10 to the top 15. Please note that this range may expand further in the future.

The hero commanding this week’s arena meta is Colt. As top players optimized combinations around this hero, others scrambled to build defensive or magic-based counter-teams, while some simply used Colt to fight Colt. Riding this wave, Seven Knights Rudy has seen a steady upward trajectory, reaching a 38% pick-rate and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Colt. Vanessa follows in third place with a 0.5% point gap, with Karma trailing by the same margin in fourth.

The reason Rudy has been chosen as the primary counter to Colt is the 'Defensive Stance' skill, which cleanses debuffs for the entire party, combined with the crowd control immunity gained at 6-transcendence. It effectively nullifies the bombs planted by Colt or manages the paralysis debuff triggered upon detonation, significantly increasing survivability. While Rudy was previously a staple only for defensive decks, adventurers with 6-transcendence Rudy are currently slotting this hero into their existing parties just to see how things play out.

Formations and Pets: A Time for Firepower

The momentum of the Balanced formation has taken a slight hit for the first time in a while. The Protective formation managed to reclaim a 4% point share, splitting the field 57:43. As hero progression deepens, defensive combinations have become increasingly resilient, suggesting that offensive parties require even more raw firepower to break through.

As for pets, Erin, who reclaimed the top spot following Colt's debut, has seen her pick-rate rise even further. With a 1% point increase over last week, Erin comfortably holds the lead. Pike’s pick-rate has also risen to counter Colt’s debuffs, while Yeonji has fallen by 4% points as magic-based compositions have waned. Once again, pet pick-rate metrics serve as a reliable indirect indicator of the shifting arena meta.

Best Pick of the Week

The 'Colt & Teo' Balanced formation offensive deck with multiple win conditions

This week’s Best Pick is an offensive party featuring both Colt and Teo. The core strategy is to use both as main damage dealers to maintain multiple avenues for victory. Colt handles the bomb debuffs, while Teo provides straightforward, heavy firepower.

So, which hero's skills should you queue first? Colt’s win condition involves planting bombs on enemies and detonating them immediately. Queue all skills as Colt to maximize the 6-transcendence cooldown reduction effect. If the opponent survives and the skills go on cooldown, it is time for Teo to take the stage. You can use the third slot in your queue for a Teo skill to pursue a different win condition.

If you prefer to prioritize Teo’s skills, there are several approaches depending on your playstyle. Similar to the previous strategy, you can plant bombs with Colt before chaining into a Teo skill, or lead with another hero’s area-of-effect skill. The latter is a classic maneuver—stripping away the opponent’s 'Damage Immunity' before unleashing Teo’s firepower. Alternatively, queueing skills around Phay can also create excellent synergy.

For reference, Eileen or Vanessa in the aforementioned composition can be replaced with Dellons or Ace. Simply pick the two heroes from this list that have the highest transcendence level.

Focus Pick of the Week

Arena Server 3, Rank 94 'Pokssaksokatsuda'

With the final round of the Total War concluded, we are moving into the settlement phase. In line with this, we’ve prepared a Focus Pick for this week’s arena analysis. The star is 'Pokssaksokatsuda', who finished at 6,240 points, ranking 94th on Arena Server 3. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary magic attack party, but it’s a unique build with several interesting focal points.

The first point is the inclusion of Colt in a magic party. While Rin is utilized as the main damage dealer, Colt is positioned in the front line. Thanks to the passive 'Camouflage', survival doesn't seem to be an issue, though a lack of firepower due to formation bonuses is a concern. It seems the player added Melkire and Vanessa to compensate for this, or perhaps the player determined that a 6-transcendence Colt provides enough damage to justify the front-line placement in a Protective formation.

The second point is the Rare-grade hero Ariel. Based on the skill effects and the current arena environment, one can infer that this is likely a counter to Jave or Phay. Both heroes share a common trait: burn damage. Ariel’s passive grants the entire party burn immunity, effectively neutralizing them. Alternatively, the goal might be to inflict blindness on Jave, who relies on counter-attacks, to cut off the source of Jave’s team damage.

For the record, while one could interpret the use of Ariel as a way to satisfy the conditions for Melkire’s magic power reflux, that doesn't seem to be the case here. Since the party already meets the magic-type hero requirements with Rin, Vanessa, and Melkire, there is no technical need for Ariel. However, the fact remains that the player reached rank 94 using this hero, which speaks volumes for the performance of the build.

SKRB User Poll

In our last poll, we looked into how our adventurers consume their Growth Dungeon entry tickets. These tickets are provided for free twice a day and can be stacked up to a maximum of 10. This structure led to a variety of opinions.

The number one method, used by 48.8% of adventurers, is to consume the two free tickets immediately every day. Since daily and guild quests often require clearing Growth Dungeons, this is arguably the most convenient and efficient approach.

In second place, with 40.9% of responses, are those who consume them once they have accumulated a moderate amount. These players seem to use tickets only when necessary while ensuring none go to waste. A similar third-place approach, used by 9.4% of adventurers, involves keeping the ticket count at 8. This method has the advantage of being prepared for urgent needs, allowing for immediate acquisition of evolution materials whenever a new hero is released.
