This trend persisted for over a year since the service began. Even in the Tower of Chaos rankings, the class struggled, with only a handful of top-tier players making any real noise. It felt more like those specific players were just exceptionally skilled rather than the class itself being viable.

Then came the game-changer: the late July class balance adjustment and the introduction of class change tickets. The changes for the Destroyer were deceptively simple: shortening the animations for eight skills and adding a 2.3-second knockdown effect to 'Ground Shaker'. While these tweaks might sound modest, they were clearly enough to shift the status quo. The class has smashed through the ceiling, climbing the ranks across multiple tiers.

First, let’s take a look at the popular classes per server. The Destroyer has made its presence felt in the Lux, Nox, Vita, and Solar worlds. The most impressive performance comes from Nox, where it has cracked the top three alongside Mors and Honor. While it only surfaced in one server for the other worlds, that seems to be enough. Based on this week's Ancient Citadel ranking data, it appears that Nox is currently a hub for some of the most formidable guilds.

Many of these guilds are veterans of the 'Raven 2' Guild Championship, the game's massive inaugural event. These are proven powerhouses, and one would expect them to possess deep game knowledge and experience. For the Destroyer to gain traction in such a competitive environment speaks volumes. If the class can maintain this momentum, we can confidently say, 'this class has truly improved.' Let's take a deep breath and keep a close eye on how the charts evolve.

Furthermore, the class change season is still in full swing. It runs until 4:59 AM on August 13th, leaving plenty of time for you to check the additional data and decide whether to switch. If you've developed an interest in the Destroyer, it might be worth listening to what other players are saying.

Overall Class Analysis

Moving on to the overall class share in the Korean region, the Destroyer has plenty to smile about here as well. By gaining a 1% point share, it has secured 6th place alone for the first time. Moreover, it has narrowed the gap with the 5th place Vanguard to just 0.1% points. With this momentum, it might just settle comfortably into the mid-tier. At the same time, its position in the chart has moved up by one floor, signaling a strong intent to leave its long-term residence on the fourth floor behind.

However, one must not be complacent. Although the previous 6th place, Berserker, has seen a dip, its growth trajectory hasn't been completely shattered. The Destroyer simply saw a larger growth spurt, allowing it to climb the ladder. The ranking could easily flip again depending on how the share of these two classes shifts. The competition is only going to get tighter.

The Deathbringer’s indicators are also flashing green. It gained a whopping 1.2% points, jumping up one spot—the largest growth curve this week. It seems the Deathbringer also benefited nicely from the class balance adjustments. Conversely, the Assassin, which was not part of the adjustments, lost 1.2% points. As a result, the gap between the two classes has narrowed to 1.9% points. Is this the start of a meta and hierarchy recalibration? We shall see next time.

Global Class Analysis

In the 'Raven 2' Global region, the Destroyer and Vanguard have been moving in lockstep. The former increased its share by 2.9% points, and the latter by 2.7% points. As a result, both climbed two spots in the rankings. On the flip side, Berserker and Elementalist saw sharp declines, widening the gap further.

The battle for 1st and 2nd place is also critical. For a long time, the 'Raven 2' Meca Ranking was dominated by the Night Ranger, with the 2nd place spot rotating. Initially, it was the Elementalist, but at some point, the Divine Caster took over. The Global region was the first to break this pattern. The protagonist was the Divine Caster, which reclaimed the top spot for the second time last week.

Unfortunately, both instances of claiming the throne ended in a one-week reign. The Night Ranger recovered 3.3% points in share, while the Divine Caster saw a 5.1% point drop. At this point, let's look at the share changes for classes below 3rd place. Aside from the Vanguard and Destroyer, the fluctuations aren't massive. It seems the Divine Caster lost out because those two classes took a larger bite of the pie. Still, there is no reason to despair. If they snatched the crown twice, who is to say they cannot do it a third time? Calm your nerves and wait for the next leap.

PVP Ranking Status

Unlike the class share and rankings which were highly volatile, the PVP chart has been significantly subdued. In July, we saw an increase in 100-kill rankers, and even 1,000-kill rankers appeared, so this is a bit of a letdown. However, there is a reasonable excuse for this week: the sale of server transfer and character change tickets. The atmosphere was likely too chaotic for players to focus on PVP.

Additionally, the PVP section is expected to remain quiet in next week's Meca Ranking as well, as we are currently in the middle of the 26th Ancient Citadel matches. During weeks when these matches are held, KDA is typically recorded lower. It will take some time for the atmosphere to recover. Since the class change season is also in full swing, let’s just take a relaxed approach.

Raven 2 Meca Ranking User Poll

Finally, the results of the 'Raven 2' user poll. Since we just finished the balance adjustments, the theme was 'Which class do you think received the best adjustment?' The result saw the Destroyer take 1st place by a narrow margin. The gap with the Deathbringer is a mere five votes. Both classes saw increased popularity in the Korean region and performed well in the poll. 3rd place Berserker also increased its share, but couldn't quite reach the Destroyer or the Deathbringer. That's alright; another good opportunity will surely come later.
